Voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, November 5 at the Dodge County Courthouse and other voting precincts in Dodge County to determine whether a one percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) will be approved for the next six years. The current one percent SPLOST will expire in October of 2014. This will not be an additional tax, but, if approved by the voters, will begin in October of 2014, essentially continuing the tax. Currently, Dodge Countians pay eight percent in sales tax.
