Firemen were called to the home of John and Prescilla Harrington at 840 8th Avenue in Eastman at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 31. When firefighters arrived, they found the fire had started on the second story of the brick house in the master bedroom. Firemen from Eastman and Dodge Correctional Institute (Dodge CI) fought the blaze for approximately three hours. There was heavy fire damage to the bedroom and the immediate area, heavy heat and smoke damage to the entire second foor and smoke daamage to the first floor.
